Feed the Fire
A simulated fire you can feed, drawn in voxels.

Did you like it?
- What it does
- Feed a fire pit in a snowy clearing: logs, paper, oil, water, flame salts or a kettle. The fire is a 3D simulation of air, heat, gas and oxygen, drawn as glowing voxels.
- Who it is for
- For anyone who likes poking a fire.
Notes from the making (2)
- Local prototype. A 44 by 48 by 44 cell simulation in a Web Worker, sampled into voxels with a 3D blue-noise threshold that shimmers. Logs, paper, oil, water, copper and potassium salts, a kettle and a match, in a snowy clearing. Measured on one desktop only.
- Published on Project Nothing at the author’s request. A fire pit in a snowy clearing, simulated in 3D and drawn as voxels; logs, paper, oil, water, copper and potassium salts, a kettle and a match. Sound generated in the browser. Measured on one desktop; adapts its detail to slower devices, not measured on a phone.
